Study something a bit more interesting this term: news, entertainment
and uni life, all from an oddly tertiary perspective, in Fuse.
Fuse is a free newspaper for University students, published and
distributed by the New Zealand Herald. It will be distributed free
on campuses in August and September.
Edited by Paola Ghirelli and focusing on what’s important
to tertiary students in New Zealand, Fuse will feature news, entertainment
and some bloody useful information.
Fuse will tackle the
kinds of subjects that matter: student debt, health, careers and
where the cheap beer is. Most important of all though, Fuse will
be encouraging student participation. We want to hear your views
and publish your articles. Because only you really know what other
students want to read. Or, indeed, what you want to read.
We’re serious about wanting contributions of all types – stories,
reviews, pictures, cartoons (see our submission guidelines).
So contributors will have the chance to win some fairly serious
prizes: digital cameras, phone cards and a heap of other stuff.
Cruise around this site for more information about Fuse and what
you can expect to see over the next couple of months.
Fuse has been made possible
by the generous and remarkably stringless involvement of Vodafone,
Canon, AUT, Bank of New Zealand and NZ Army. Thanks guys, we’ll
make you proud. No really, we will.
