Funny, serious, difficult, challenging, angry or beautiful. Whatever you have to say, don't bottle it up. Let it out with the College Herald.

It doesn't matter whether you write or draw or take photos whether it's something new or something you did ages ago. Get your best work into New Zealand's biggest daily newspaper and get it seen by thousands of other students just like you.

The College Herald is published every Tuesday from 2 May to 19 September 2006 (terms two and three). Every week, 20 pieces of work are selected for publication and we give away some great prizes including HP iPAQ Pocket PC's and bank accounts loaded with cash.

  1. One HP iPAQ Pocket PC and $500 for your school.
  2. One HP PhotoSmart printer.
  3. One of 18 Bank of New Zealand bank accounts* with $100 already in them.

Plus, everyone who submits a piece of work will go in the draw to win an iPod Nano whether they are published or not.

* Bank of New Zealand's normal account opening criteria apply. Account terms and conditions apply. A copy of our disclosure statement maybe obtained from any Bank of New Zealand branch.

And the winners were...

Last year, 200 students who submitted work to the College Herald saw it appear in print. What's more, they won prizes worth a total of $80,000 for themselves and their schools.

What does it take to get published in the College Herald? The best way to find out is to take a look at some of the work our editor has chosen in the past.
